ADC (East Anglia) Ltd awarded the OHSAS 18001 accreditation
Management of Health and Safety
ADC has recently been awarded the OHSAS 18001 accreditation an Occupational Health and Safety Management Standard by QMS (Quality Management Systems).
ADC can now consistently identify and control the management of Health and Safety risks in order to operate and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Why it is useful to our customers and suppliers?
Concerns about Health and Safety have been growing rapidly in recent years. The OHSAS 18001 Standard is our new framework that will identify and control Health and Safety risks within our organisation. We will be able to reduce the likelihood of accidents, reduce breaches of legislation and improve our organisation?s overall performance.
How did we achieve the award?
Through our own endeavours to meet Health and Safety within our own work places, we had already achieved a high standard. A QMS Assessor spent 2 days on our site assessing the current situation in relation to the required Standards. We are pleased to announce that the hard work paid off and we now have the recognised accreditation.
The Audited Award
We are now fully certified for OHSAS 18001 and hold a fully customised Occupational Health and Safety Manual. In accordance with the OHSAS 18001 standard, an annual audit is required over the period of certification to ensure that the management system is being operated effectively and is achieving its objectives.
